I played a bit of the Oblivion Lost mod and it ruined the experience in my opinion. Your best bet is to head to the GSC forums and just look through and see what mod you want. You've got AMK, OGSE, Oblivion Lost, LURK, Redux, Supermod Pack, Faction Wars, SGM, and the list goes on and on. If you want the atmosphere and the base with tweaked mechanics and various additions there's mods which go in all different directions. If you want a slightly improved vanilla experience, then Complete is one of the better options. There were too many monsters around and it ruined the atmosphere and feeling of being alone, and honestly, most of the monsters in the game aren't very fun to kill.
